New Mexico's Bisti Badlands are
home to a wild assortment of
interesting shapes and
formations. This section, popularly
known as the egg factory, or alien
eggs, features a few dozen of this
style of rocks. Ranging from a
couple feet to perhaps 4 or 5 feet
wide, the rocks don't require much
imagination to picture them as
cracked open alien eggs. My
friend and I had hiked out in the
afternoon, making a beeline
towards this area for a sunset
target. We noted the high clouds
with some great textures, and
soon enough we were rewarded
with this scene.
