Waking well before sunrise, I peeked out of the Jeep's windows and saw that the mostly sunny sky from evening
before had turned to almost pure cloud cover. I calcuated my chances to grab anything good before heading out
that morning as slim. I sat lazily in my Jeep until about 25 minutes before sunrise, then convinced myself to go
see what would happen. While walking out onto the rock, I noticed the slightest brightening sky towards the
horizon, and began to get a small hope something good could happen. I ventured farther into the area, with a
target in mind for any potential sunrise. As I arrived, the sky began to change. Just a few minutes later, the show
was over and I was headed back out, knowing I had seen likely the best sunrise of the trip.
