The Stubborn Ones
The fall color, for the most part, had been early this year in Zion National Park. A few pockets of color hung
on, however, drifting into their normal time. My friend Brad and I had hiked past this stand earlier in the day,
and noting the direction of the canyon, took a best guess that the light would be best here in the afternoon.
We explored the Wall Street section of the Narrows hike, and made our way back here later in the day. We
were happy to note that the light was indeed much better in the afternoon.
