Back to visit one of my favorite places, I hiked around with friends until they went to set up camp, then I started
looking for the sunset shot. I had shot this formation before, but it is one of my favorites and I thought I'd give it
another try. I was thinking a horizontal shot, and so when sunset began, I was shooting from farther away. As I
shot, however, I found myself being pulled closer in. "The Washing Machine" was up to it's old tricks, with its
sweeping lines inviting me for a closer look. The last direct light of the day blasted out from the clouds, bathing
White Pocket in a warm sunset glow.
