After spending the day enjoying the fall color, my friends and I were headed to Leadville, Colorado to spend the
night. It had been a long day and we were all looking forward to a nice meal. Sunset was near and as I drove
farther north, some color began to form in the clouds, getting stronger with each mile. Soon I was asking if dinner
could be pushed back a little, and I pressed the accelerator of the rental car down. The race was on, as I knew
that the waters of Twin Lakes up the road could provide a nice reflection. The sky seemed to catch fire as I flew
the car into a parking area and ran towards the water with my gear. I worked quickly to catch the brief show, and
we were soon back on our way to Leadville.
