Ramona Falls is located on the west base of Mt. Hood in Oregon. I did the fairly easy 7 mile round trip hike to
check out the falls in July of 2011, my last day on a great week long trip. Ramona Falls faces west, so either
early morning or late afternoon is best for photographs. Early morning brings all shade, but the afternoon brings
spots of light that make it through the trees. I wanted to see what the lighting would do, so I went with the
afternoon hike. It didn't disappoint, with the spot lighting making for dynamic photography.
