Peyto Lake is a very popular destination in Canada's Banff National Park. Fed by glacier melt, the waters contain
suspended rock flour from the glacier, resulting in a dramatic, bright turquoise color. The lake is reached via a
short 10 minute hike from the Bow Summit, the highest point along the Icefield Parkway. I had visited the lake on
my journey north to Jasper, but the light wasn't as good. When I was headed back south, the clouds were a little
more open, allowing some nice spot lighting on the lake's surface.
