After spending the day exploring Joshua Tree National Park, I had some idea on what I wanted to shoot for
sunset. I had wandered near the northwest entrance of the park, but a large ridge blocked the westward view.
Knowing I would not be able to get the desired shot there, I raced back east, where I recalled seeing a large
stand of the Joshua Trees on mostly flat ground. The sun had already set when I arrived, so I worked quickly to
find a tree I liked. Noting the high clouds, I hoped for some late color, as the sunset was fairly uneventful. After
selecting this tree and composing the shot, I was rewarded with high purple clouds and a vibrant pink band on
Edition of 250.
Goodnight Joshua Tree
