Located 17 miles west of Santa Barbara is El Capitan State Beach. My coworkers and I were headed to Santa
Barbara to check into our hotel. I noticed some interesting clouds and knew sunset could be something special. I
had been to this beach once before, and had scouted it out for interesting compositions. I told my coworkers I
would meet up with them later, and I was after the sunset. I pushed the accelerator down, rolling the dice with the
law. I arrived, grabbed my gear, and ran for the beach. The sun was setting as I set up, in awe of the show.
Quickly unfolding was one of the best sunsets I've ever seen. Minutes later, the color was gone, and I was
headed back to my hotel room.
