After a week in Salt Lake for work, I ventured south to Death Valley for a couple days of shooting. I had chosen
this location for sunset vs another place and staked out this composition a couple of hours before sunset. I shot
this around technical sunset, but the color was mainly to the south. I left this spot, looking for a compositon with
the cloud color at the time. The light was fading, and it was getting dim enough that I actually packed up and
head towards my Jeep. I looked back over my shoulder and noticed some late color and head back to this
location. It was dim enough that I needed to use my flashlight to help focus my camera, and snapped a few long
exposure shots to capture the color that eluded this compositon earlier.
