Below Panther Creek
Panther Creek Falls is a popular spot north of Carson, Washington. I had stayed the night close by and drove
here early in the morning to shoot the falls while it was still in the shade. The main overlook provided a good
shot, but curiousity had me wanting to get down near the falls base. I checked out the likely path, and it looked
pretty sketchy. I was alone and thought that if I fell, I'd be in a bad place, and talked myself out of it. After another
20 minutes of shooting the falls from above, the pull was too great and I carefully made my way down the basalt
handholds to explore the area below. It did not disappoint, presenting this view of the beautiful falls.
